MPG ?

   Hey guys, just wondering on what people get out of their cars ?
   
   and if anyones knows that if a K&N induction kit has an impact on MPG ? just fitted one to my vtr and with the k&n the mpg doesnt seem as good, but not really noticed a HUGE difference yet. I dont really RAG it everywhere either.
   
   anyone have any theories?????

   Yes a k&n will have some effect on the mpg

   id expect about 66mpg on a good run . . .hurhurhur.

   You will notice a slight decrease because it's obviously putting more air in causing more fuel to be fired for the mix.

   ive got a vtr, newman ph3 cam, 4-1 manifold, decat with a custom exhaust and im getting around 40mpg, and travelling around 40-50 miles a day. i work this out by putting £20 (15L) of fuel in, which is approx 3 gallon, i get 120 miles...120/3 is 40. not too bad but this is driving around 3k revs MAX inc accelleration
