Windscreen question

Seen as the saxo is getting a respray and it needs a new windscreen I was going to try get the old 1 out before prep work so it doesn't have to me a mask up job, is it hard to remove them? I will have the new 1 fitted by a pro I just want the old 1 out that's all

Ah no worries, its just a video of a bloke removing and fitting a windscreen, only need to watch half of it really. Should be able to do it at home with you and mate tbh, only removing it.

2 of you sit on the front seats and push with your legs, it will soon come out.

Well you SHOULD replace the seal, so i suppose you could get the old seal and cut it with a stanley knife. You need 2 people though to do it easily as it is heavy and big.

Haha love the " just kick it out" idea I'll have a go with a stanley knife at the weekend and see what happens

They use what appears to be a sharp knife with a 90 degree bend on it AND basically a cheesewire.

Last time i had a rear window out because of a respray, i think it cost me £55 and that was to remove AND refit. A new seal is a MUST.

Got the windscreen out, just went over it with a hammer to break it into tiny bits then got a mate to peel it back with some gloves on while I sliced the bonding bit by bit, all in all took 20 mins, not a hard job really. The pushing with legs idea didn't work as my foot just went straight through the glass lol
