vtr block on westie

   I have a mk1 westie and I was wondering weather it iis possible to fit the engine block from a vtr to the westie cylinder head reason I ask a mate offered to sell me the block

   Pointless, even the normal VTR head is superior to the west coast one plus you can get a full blacktop for pennies plus all ancillaries

   Does the vtr head have different lobe sizes on the cams

   I believe the blacktop head has a different design of combustion chamber on in the head, and as far as I'm aware it runs a different cam but really nothing to write home about. I cant give measurements though or details of duration
