wheel bolt help

  1. #1
    hi all,

I've searched high and low to try and find some black extended wheels bolts for my banded steels.

I'm going to be running 12mm spacers, and the bolts I require are as follows:

    17mm Hex M12 x 1.25 bolts with a 60 degree taper

they must be black and must be long enough for spacers I am using.

does anyone know where to get these from?

    any help is much appreciated

    Dan

there's loads of extended bolts out there, just no black ones and I really don't fancy using caps.

how safe and easy is it to do a lug nut conversion? and can someone point me in the right direction?

I'd rather not just paint them. the amount of times I have my wheels on and off, I'll have to repaint them every week.

from personal experience i;d buy better spacer that dont use the extended nuts. they aint that safe and eat your wheel bearings rather quick. as u have already invested in banded steels spend the money on hubcentric spacers i wouldnt want to trust my life to extended bolts

I've got custom hubcentric spacers coming but they require the longer bolts. because they are only 12 mm you cannot get the nut conversion type. the standard bolts thread length is 28 mm and I only one with a 40mm thread length so it's not a huge increase.

Just did a quick search & I know the listing isn`t the bolts you`re after but it wouldn`t do any harm to contact this company mate. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-Alloy-W...item3f1656d0ae

    Or these. http://www.rarerims.co.uk/wheelshop_...t=Black+Bolts+
