Help with bonnet catch

    Hi hope someone can help me. My bonnet takes some force to close. The main spring/catch seems to be fine but the secondary one (In the grill) seems a bit dodgy. Basically to close it I have to hold the secondary up.

    What could I do to remedy this?

    get some pics, i dont really know what you mean, just try and work out what the issue it, whats in the way or whats in the wrong place and look to see whats holding it on and try and adjust it, really cant imagine its hard, have a look

    I've worked it out the part that is attached to the underside of the bonnet is slightly loose. Would it be possible to just get this welded to strengthen it|?

    i dunno, i guess so, where do you live? and are you sure that it being loose would cause it to not fit properly and not just rattle? i dunno ive not studied the latch before

    Yes can be welded, mine did the same but fell off before i had a chance, fitted bonnet pins instead

    i was having problems closing my bonnet and it turned out to be the rubber bump stops on the landing bar were not screwed in enough

    Managed to get someone to weld it for me on Saturday

    Will someone please do me a huge favour and take a pic of a working secondary catch (One in the grill) as I also believe the spring is broken on mine & could do with seeing how it should look.
