Driving with a snapped coil..

My d/s spring has snapped overnight, isit possible to drive it without breaking anything else? Or isit risky? Doesn't sound too healthy and the ride is dodgey (for the 10metres I travelled before I realised)... I expect recovery charges will be charged.. I do have break down cover though.

    Ty,
    Ryan.

No dont drive it, you will f*ck the shock up within a few miles, and that's even if the car is drivable at all

No way don`t drive it its dangerous & if you get stopped by the police you`ll be in more trouble.

It wont fuck the shock up within a few miles. That's a tad exaggerated. It'll put more pressure on the shock, which isn't good for it, of course. But it won't fuck it after driving for a few miles.

You can drive with a broken spring, hundreds of people do it without even realising it, ask any mechanic out there. With the amount of speed bumps on the roads these days garages are flooded with broken springs and often in most cases ( like MOT's ) it is pointed out they have broken springs and never knew.

I wouldn't advise to drive with a broken spring. But it is possible.
