air bag light issues

   hi all im having problems with my airbag light , ive checked the s/belt pretensioner connections which all seemed fine but i fitted new connectors just to be safe , no joy , so i fitted a 3ohm resistor to each side still no joy . basically i was wndering if there could be a problem with the airbag connector ring thingy , how do i get the steering wheel centre off , ive tried pulling it a bit but it seems stuck fast , can anyone tell me how to remove it without getting a face full of airbag and also can i use the resistor trick on the airbag connector , its mot time soon and this is really p#ss#ng me off . Any help would be great , many thanks , Owen

   There is 2 torx screws behinde the steering wheel to get the centre out then a torx t50 bolt to get the wheel off.

   You dont need to take the wheel off to get to the plug for the airbag though.
   
   Mine was a brown plug and the resistor trick worked.

   Disconnect the battery for about 10 mins before attempting to remove the airbag unless you want a airbag in the eye
