1.4 into a 1.1 ???

    hey, i have a saxo 1.1 and im wanting to put a bigger engine in but want to stay legit so my insurance are okay with the 1.4 but not the 1.6. i already have vtr suspension and d-turbo brakes, im just wondering what else i need other than. engine and box, loom, ecu, ignition, and driveshafts ? thanks guys

    You can use your gearbox and driveshafts.

    If your going to do it, got for at LEAST a 98bhp Vtr lump. If your worried about insurance just save up for a Vtr or even an S.

    ive got the money for a vtr/s just ive got the shell so may as well put the engine in as the shell is immaculate. i dont fancy buying somebody else's problems while mine is running well. i get what you guys are saying about the vtr/s but ive done so much to mine and dont want to let it go just yet haha

    The problems are 90% going to be with the engine so that is out the question lol..

    don't bother imo. my 1.1 was just as fast as the 1.4

    This, I've driven the 1.1, 1.4 and 1.6. The difference between the 1.1 and the 1.4 really isn't that noticeable.
