juddering and jumping when changing gear.

   my 2001 vtr has been playing up recently. the EML has been on for about the last 3 months but drives fine, but when i pull away it looses power for a second and then goes fine, but it also does it when changing gear, so effectivly it kangaroos, also if im drive and lift off the accelerator then accelerate again theres a delay and then it goes, im thinking its a sensor but dont know which one, so any help would be great

   You need to get a diagnostic checker on it to see what faults are coming up.
   
   Even if you knew why the EML light came on 3 months ago, that doesnt mean another sensor hasn't flagged another issue.

   You can not just guess what sensor mate, thats why Devil said it needs a code reader because that will tell you. You can get them from eghey for £20.

   VTR's dont have an air mass sensor do they? i dont think they do but it it was faulty this sensor would give you a Kanga-Car
