Important! : Fuel gauge showing empty

   As above I have a mk2 Saxo furio when I start the car the fuel gauge goes up and down then stays on empty however the car is full of fuel any help please

   Either a bad earth or the fuel gauge sender is faulty.

   I'd imagine its the sender going on personal experience, but as said it could also be an earth. The sender and pump are one unit, in the tank under the rear seats, need to unscrew it and lift it out, obviously disconnecting everything first.    Is it only the fuel gauge needle that's playing up ? A bad earth mostly causes more needles to play about. Fuel gauge sender will be kapoot.

   At the bottom of the each side where the carpet comes up to the dash are 2 earthing points for the dash.
