   What are the guidelines with respects to MOT's and failing rear beams??

   is it fucked?
   then it will fail ...
   
   is it bolted to the car?
   does it have movement in the trailing arms?
   is there noise / play in the bearings?
   any of the bushes deteriorated resulting in excessive play / movement?

   If there's any play in it or noise, it'll fail.
