Hey guys. Just chucked new seats in my saxo and now the airbag light is on, So I am guessing I got the wires wrong. What Color goes to what color on the seat airbag wiring please?

#2Did you swap over your old seatbelt pretensioners? Then its just plug & play.
-
#3^ that
undo the plastic cover on the side of the seat with one screw, then its just one bolt holding the seat belt buckle/pretensioner on -
#4The plug doesn't exist
on either part. Just got wires. :/
-
#5and when I say wiring. I mean the plug under the seat doesn't exist. and need to wire those cables in (orange plastic casing)
-
#6arent the wires inside the orange cable pink and grey for each wire?
-
#7I thought that. But the seat wiring. and the wiring from the carpet are different.. :/
-
#8so why cant you just use the original pretensioners from your old seats?
-
#9Because. the airbag light was on before. and it fixed itself now and again. Had a lose connection before. But I forgot which wire went where :/
-
#10I`ll have a look at my wiring in the morning mate.
-
#11Cheers stevo
The light is on and I wanna get it sorted ASAP
-
#12well if you want to bypass the pretensioners altogether you can use the resistor trick? i mean if you cant resolve the wiring/to plug issue
-
#13Yeah. If I dont resolve the issue. then I will defo do the resistor trick (Y)
-
#14Right - Going to take a look at mine again in a minute. I might, if I have no other reply, Just try every combination possible
-
#15no harm in trying lol i think when i had a mix up of wires when fitting new seats, i cut off them shit brown connector blocks off and just used spade connectors instead. Still didnt work mind but its an idea lol

#16Right just been outside(got wet)
As follows.
Black connect to pink
Tan connect to light blue.1 user thanked this post: -
#18Yes indeedy.
-
#19Okay, Well Something is wrong somewhere... :/ Wires are correct and airbag light is still there....
-
#20How did you connect them IE solder, spade connector etc?
-
#21you can put on some resistors to test the pretensioners. If the airbag light goes off then atleast you know the fault is with the pretensioners/connection somewhere
-
#22Right when I went down to citroen they advised only to solder the wires & these were the connectors I was sold(cheaper on ebay)http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-x-Tyco-...item2a1c665f5f

#23is it a 2ohm resistor I need? Can some link me the item on maplins too please. I had a quick look. Only saw this:

#24i think a 2ohms will do. I used a 3 and that worked fine1 user thanked this post:
