I took the ball bearings out of mine to get them to come out again, they are on the big side of the belt IIRC but be careful, do the wrong side and a spiral metal strip to try and take your eyes out

Got them in position, still no joy

Baz how did you put the covers back on? The covers on mine are set in place then pieces are pressed/melted into place to lock them??

On one side take the cap off by pushing the little black pins out. Carefully pull the cap off a cm and check its the side with the white cog and ball bearing and continue to remove. If its the side with the winded up coil, put the cap back on and push the black pins back in.

Once removed the cap to the white cog side, remove the ballbearing and the belt with extract freely.

It's very easy to do you have to tilt it in the right position so the ball bearing sits in its little slot and very slowly pull but if the ball bearing is not in the right place you have to let go of the belt and try a different position but if you listen carefully you can hear the ball moving in side so you no the correct way to tilt
