engine?

   wanted to ask if if a Xsara engine would fit in a saxo from same year etc

   possibly if you take the back shelf out and fold the seats down, I'd use an old duvet and some plastic incase fluids leak

   would it fit ie. a straight swap ive seen pics of the xsara 1.8i vtr and they look around the same size as vtr/s

   I should imagine any xsara TU engine will go into a saxo. However the XU engines are much more of a mission to get in. Diggers on the 106 forum put an XUD into a S1. I toyed with the idea of putting an 8 valve turbo into a saxo till I got my VTS and realised how good they actually are to begin with.

   someone just gave me the idea today and with everyone puting 1.6's in he said because i could get a xsara for less than a vtr/s then why not buy full car then i have all the bits ready
