interior fob/alarm sensor

    are these coded to the fob or something similar? Ive just plugged mine back in and put a new battery in the fob yet the car doesnt lock etc.
    Also the immobiliser doesnt appear to have been tampered with under the dash so if someone could explain how this system works I'd appreciate it as I'm only using to Rover 5as

    Ive got the central locking working but the fob doesnt seem to transmit anything to the receiver above the rear view.
    Obviously this engine still runs and so on so its either unlocked ecu wise or the immobiliser just never sets - are these auto setting and so on or do you need to "arm" it?
