Dropped Doors (LUPO GTI)

    not a sax but stil might be able to help me..

    the doors have dropped slightly on my lupo so they scrape the cill when i open them and make a noise how do you go about fixing this? is is something i can do with household tools?

    Probably the door hinge pins have worn, fitting new ones should sort it! If this doesn't fix it, open the door slightly so its just outside the frame and gently pull it up! This will bend the hinges up slightly as they can sag over time!

    door pins? if i go to VW would they be able to tell me what i require you think? i will try pulling the door up first there massive doors for such a small car lol

    Another thing to check is the paint around this part, it may not line up with the paint so may just need adjusting!

    If everything looks to be in the original position chances are the pins on this part may be worn causing the sag!

    Do the pins first! Bending is a last resort really, usually the hinges are in a perfect position so panels will line up nicely! When you bend door up to stop them catching they don't always line up perfect with the frame!
