    Identify the caliper!

Right guys - in a bit of a pickle... I have 266mm discs and calipers however I am completely unaware as to what brake pads I need to order for my setup.

I orderred the FCP1122h's thinking I must have the lucas setup as the pad design seemed identical... alas they're not.

Has anyone had similar pads before... and if they have what was the part number/caliper?

I would read the part number off the caliper but sadly the caliper has been ground down to fit inner wheel weights

    My discs measure up:

    Weight Per Disc (KG): 4.82
    Diameter (MM)(a): 266
    Thickness (MM) (b): 20
    Overall Height (c): 27,4
    Centering Diameter (d): 66

So ideally it should mean I have either late lucas or early bosch.

    Any help will be great!

P.S. Bickerton this is your old setup! What pads did you order fella?

Take the old pad from the caliper into any decent motor factors, i.e. not halfords, and they should be able to tell you what you need.

That's what I did with mine anyway.

P.S according to the sale thread, bickerton states they were Lucas calipers.

That's what I thought, but the lucas FCP1122's most definitely don't fit.

I will however take the pad to a decent motor factor tomorrow.

Just been to the car again... in a painted over section there is the wording:

"UCAS" I can only imagine there was an L there previously... so the Lucas pads should fit, they just don't fit the carrier!

Well having a look here http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=139153

yours do seem to be the lucas calipers stated in that thread, along with numerous part numbers for various manufacturers.

    Hope that helps mate.

    Ferodo: FCP1112H/R (H=DS2500, R=DS3000)

according to you, you've ordered FCP1122H's? possible typo, possibly wrong pads?

Very good point dude. One sec I'll just go check the box.

Edit: I did order the FCP1112H. Definitely a typo.

I'll put a picture up of both the new pads and the old ones now.

Okay - the above pad is the FCP1112H and the below are the delphi pads that were fitted to the LUCAS carriers.
