#3If the smell has only been there since you bought it I can only assume the smell is you.

#7Quote:between damp and wet dog, accompanied by a hint of neglect. the smell worsens when the sunshine heats the inside of the car - to the extent you have to vent the car for a few minutes before you can drive!
i would say that you could have a leak. as the sun heats the stagnent water it starts to smell.
lift the carpet on the drivers and passengers side front and feel underneeth the sound proofing. -
#9At fast show pissed out of my tree saturday night i rammed aload of corned beef slices down the back of the center heator vent ( pull it out press the clip then BOOM exposed corned beef hole ) Two weeks later hes sat in his car with heators on and a rancid smell begins to linger, i then remember my antics check down there lol!
Id say check glove box for little milk cartons you used to get from mcdonalds, iv had them turn to cheese before in the glovbox under piles of paper etc and not smell to pleasent even when there sealed up!!, look on the carpet for stains, Iv made the mistake of not properly cleaning milkshake up some cretin dropped in my footwell, that smell is hurrendouse!!,
But as said, i put bets on it being sunroof guttering leaking into footwell down the front pillars and stagnating in your foot well, ideal for growing cranberrys, crap for nasel pleasure
other than that check every hiding place, under back seats, seat pockets door pockets boot under boot carpet etc etc, could be anything lurking causing a smell -
#10Just get yourself a nice smoking habit and you wont notice
On a serious note though, it suggests you've got a water leak into the interior somewhere and has got into the upholstery. I'd strip the lot and air it, find the leak with a hose and plug it and perhaps fit an new set of seats/carpet if its really bad
