VTR Rear Axle

   Common problem I know - but my 2001 VTR has just failed its MOT with excessive play on the rear wheels.
   
   I've found a 2nd hand one but it has drum breaks fitted and I need discs. Can anyone tell me if I can take the drums of and replace them with the discs from my knackered one?

   that is a 1.1 or furio axle, you'll need to buy a vtr/s axle, i know you can put disc on a 1.1 to convert but i dont know of any putting drums on.

   The knackered one is the VTR axle and has discs on. I've seen a replacement axle but it has drums, so I want to swap the drums on the replacement for the discs on the knackered one and put the new beam with the old discs back on the car.

   why not just buy one with discs they aint that hard to come across

   tbh im looking for a new axle for mine, and a few vtr/s has come up so i cant see them being as hard to find...although im after the drums i dont wanna make the conversion.
