Dials sticking not the battery help

   Hi,
   
   My dials have been playing up for about 4 months now & it is driving me insane. Basically when I turn the ignition off the dials usually stick (Rev, speedo, temp & fuel) After doing searches on here I did the following:
   
   Checked fuses, which were fine.
   
   Disconnected battery & this cures it until the next time I come to drive it.
   
   What else could this possibly be? Surely I wouldnt need new dials as they do actually work. Battery is charging fine also.

   Try disconnecting the earth on the battery for 1/2 an hour mate.

   I'd like like hwlp with this also not getting a perm live to my cd player either
