Got a piper 4-1 manifold and wondering if anyone knows wether i have to relocate my oil filter or not?

It will be going on a 02 VTR.

    Cheers

I've got no phone today so i'll just say theres no need to relocate the oil filter.

    Don't speak too soon Kev.

I bought a Piper from a member off here who claimed it was for a Mark 2.

Was no where near clearing the filter and had to do the conversion.

My advice would be to look for a Raceland 4-1 which will clear the filter and also has two Lambda holes for the mk2 ECU.

Even when you relocate for the Piper, a Mk2 still doesn't run right because it only has one Lambda and its right at the very bottom next to the centre pipe, it makes a Mk2 overfuel lots.

The Raceland can be picked up new for £160/170, its alot cheaper but the irony is that the car runs faster coz it can fuel so much better due to the mani being specifically suited for mark 2s.

All of this is speaking from experience, and Kev if you remember this is why I had all the hassle with various centre pipes and underfloor CATs and the car still not passing an emissions test no matter what.

well i have fitted it now and with only one lambda sensor like you said the lower, done it in the porring rain and was silly difficult but did clear the oil filter no problem, although the to get it to link properly i have had to pull the exhaust so far forward and its nearly behind the rear bumper now, gonna get it on a ramp asap.

On another note its sounds amazing and pops up and down gears and when you put you foot down and shut off pops so i would have to agree with the overfueling

Piper tested it on a Mk2 and it fits. I dont really understand why one car seems fine yet someone else has a world of pain.
