Clumping from front left

  1. #1
    hi guys,

I recently got my sax lowered by 40mm (had to travel a bit of distance), now when i drove away i went over a drain and there was a clump noise coming from the front left wheel.
I phoned the garage that did the lowering and they told me that it was probably needing a new anti roll bar (£15-20) and to take it to a local garage.

Now when i took the car to the local garage to get sorted the guy said there wasnt anything wrong and that his punto does the same which is lowered 50mm.

Does anyone know what could be wrong or do i have to put up with this all the time now?
I thought i might need new shock absorbers as it was only the springs that were put on to lower the car (spax).

    cheers for any replys

nah m8 something is up with the suspension if its knocking try and see if your wishbone is loose first, hoping its that! if not then you will have to start replacing parts on the suspension, ball joint droplinks anti rollbar etc i'm in the same boat m8 i need to get mine sorted now as soon as, but if you leave it something can and normally will go wrong and can be dangerous dont listen to that guy.

here you go m8 have a look at this it faq about knocking might help out

if its when turning it might be the arch behind the wheel loose, when i got mine lowered 40mm this noise was happening and the plastic bit betweem the wheel and the engine wasnt tied down and made the noise,

take the wheel off and see if its flapping around, if so cable tie it back
