wheel bolts

right guys i have a saxo vtr running peugeot 206 gti alloys they called nimrod alloys. they originally have flat seat wheel bolts but as i have had to space them 20mm to fill arches properly and miss inner wheel arches etc i need longer wheel bolts. i have some tapered bolts but been advised not to use them is this correct as cant justify the £60 cost for 16 bolts just to have flat seated ones

That's probably what you will have to pay as flat seated extended bolts I think are quite hard to get hold of cheap.

Dont try and run tapered bolts on flat seat wheels!!. I ran a stud and nut conversion with mine. Also a 20mm spacer is toooo much, 10mm takes it to the correct offset.

    Here's mine with the above

how much did the stud and nut conversion cost you

I used 20mm hubcentrics that bolt to hub and used standard length flat wheel nuts.

would these be ok, not to fussed if they stick out to far just need them to be long enough, i will be using open ended nuts with a flat seat so this stud will go right through nuts anyway
