'Clunk' when breaking/ accelerating

  1. #1
Its only happened in the last week. But when I accelerate accelerate or break sometimes I hear a clunk from the front end (somewhere)

There isn't any clicking/ clunk when turning around corners and CV boots look fine.

Would there be a possibility that the inner CV joint on the (R/H Side iirc) be damaged? I've not heard any clicking.

check the lower ball joints first

It clunks very rarely, but its noticeable when it does.

What's the best way to check the ball joint? Pop it off the strut and give the joint a little wiggle to see if there is any movement?

Yep. My ball joints are fucked. Makes really bad clunking noises.

Thought it was my clutch but just had that replaced.
