   Driving home down the m27 today, began to slow with the traffic. When boom! young lad crashes in my rear. Feel sorry for him, he's only 17...
   Livid about the fact i gotta take a day off work to go doctors about my neck..

   I'm lucky tbf, his 02 plate polo's front end is ruined, my rear bumper has a crack in it, scratches, nout major. My dad's the one making me go to doctors. i genuinely have got a bad neck

    Give him a chance to see if he'll pay for your bumper? Nothing fucks me off more than false whiplash claims making my insurance so high! Even if you have whiplash, it's bs that you'd get atleast a grand for having a little pain in your neck

    tbh people are being abit harsh on the lad, i mean yeah he sould leave plenty breaking distance and pay more attention but he didnt perposly go out his way to smash his car...and yours.
    
    I would be really pissed off that he had hit me, but if he hasnt tottaled your car just settle a price on a bumper..take his detail just incase the little fucker tries to rob you off.

    I did the exact same thing when I was 18, wasn't paying attention to the road and car is front slammed on, my fault and I paid the price. But it is really easily done and having a smashed up car and insurance thru the roof is enough punishment in my experience without some1 being an arse with you over a bumper too, accidents happen

    If you feel sorry for him, then don't claim, if you claim you will make his insurance high. If he buys the bumper for you, his insurance won't move. Its just that you want to claim for whiplash and want people to feel sorry for you. This is not the place to come crying about something that you can avoid.

    Anybody who claims whiplash when they have not suffered injury is a fraudulent wanker in my opinion. That's part of the reason why insurance is sooo high these days. I think that the only exception to this would have to be if someone crashed into me & was a twat. ie they laughed about it.
    Remember, most people deny responsibility. Seems wrong, but it's what people do.
