driving with a lowere rear and not front

  1. #1
any one done it? Apart from looking daft any problems ,it will be a 40 mm drop

I was thinking about just stripping the rear as much as poss to level the car out till i can do the front
  2. #2
I havent ever driven one lowered in this way but id assume it would affect the handling/traction if the front is much higher than the rear
  3. #3
    Always do the front first.

But it'll probably handle like a bag of crap as well as look like one.

^ this. It'll handle like crap. The roll line (or roll centres), springing rates and dampers of these cars is such that they need to be set horizontal or a slight nose down angle. Mucking with this too much will upset the cars handling and probably result in you being dumped ass backwards through a hedge on the first wet corner that is taken slightly too fast.

Mine is lowered at the back at the moment it looks like crap and handles like SHIT i get torque steer and it steers to one side and i have no traction wet or dry dont do it!

Will just get abit more under-steer than normal.

Unless your pushing it to the limits - you won't really notice it.
  7. #7
It's only because I'm sticking a new axle on and can't aford to do fronts at the same time unless i sell my other car in the right time frame but then ill need ti use the saxo :/
  8. #8
It's perfectly safe.. Just do it - then do the front when you can afford it.
  9. #9
if you're driving normally, you wont even notice it. 40mm isnt that much

im on -70mm back atm...no problems at all...only had it lowered because i needed an axle replacment...therefore lowered while i had it on ramps...but nah no problems...also on vtr wheels so the gap difference is HUGE

    looks gay tho
