I'm really struggling here, I'm finding it totally impossible to melt the solder whilst the led is on the connection. How the hell is this done? Any tips?
I've not managed one in 15 minutes...

Have you managed to get the old ones off? Did they come off the board clean? i.e. you didn't damage any contacts?
Have you soldered before?

The thing with soldering is that it does take a bit of practice.
I can't really remember doing my LED's. But It's often easier to put a small amount of solder on the contact on the board. Then get a small amount of solder on the end of the iron, hold the LED on the solder on the board and dab the iron (with solder) on the contact, It should heat the solder and hopefully the board quick enough to flow it all together nicely.
Just take your time.
Where are you located? perhaps there's somebody nearby who can help?

Cheers mr p. After many hours of trial and error I've managed yay far:
There are a few on each speedo that I can't get working but I think I've melted the LEDs and the connections arnt working. Also a few of them I didn't look which way they were so it may be that -_-
I've ran out of LEDs now even though I bought 20 haha so going to have to get some more and try fix the other few.
Looks awesome thus far though, really impressed!

And IIRC they're in series of 3's. So if one is buggered or got a dry joint. etc. you will have 3 not working.
