Dumb question?

Right as you all know saxo's have poor sound proofing, seen as my car is striped out atm I'm thinking of doing a bit of soundproofing. I'm gonna use dynamat stuff and I was thinking about filling the rear quaters with sound proof foam along with front doors, I'll make glue 2 sheets of plastic either side of the window runners as to give the windows a channel if you will. Is this a good idea or am I wasting time and money?

I think it's a good idea providing its not stupid price. How much do you think you'll have to spend?

was thinking more like a dense foam,

sounds really pikey but even thought about using a few cheap quilts and just seal everything up with silicone first so it dont get wet

Its tempting to put it behind the door cards.

    How much is a roll?

I used Dynamat cost me £27.00 for a roll & found it useless tbh.

Is it really worth it though? I mean what are the results?

I know that dynomat is pretty shit unless u use shed loads that's y I'm considering something more alont the lines of foam or maybe even a few memory foam pillows stuffed into quaters, I'm more interested in dulling the road noise down a little more than getting rid of rattles etc

try a product called brown bread and not the stuff you get from tescos or similar. it gets great reviews and is far better than dynomat.

think I'm gonna go with dense foam and seen as nobody has called me an idiot yet I'm guessing it will probs be more effective than sticky on sound deadning,
