Just after an opinion when your driving along and put your foot down theres a loud sucking in air noise, doesnt do it when your stationary and rev it only when your driving along.

Blocked air filter,or maybe a leak in the inlet manifold.

I'd go with Steveo's diagnosis but does it have any aftermarket air induction and is it fitted correctly.

My first thought was something to do with the intercooler but I'm not a mechanic

It's not looseing power or anything

Anyone else got any ideas going to have a look today so anything I should look for

check all the boos pipes, tighten all clamps and check the vacuum lines for splits etc.

Just had a look and the noise starts just as the turbo kicks in

Boost leak... Turbo intake pipe maybe or a waste gate issue? Follow the turbo pipes and see if one is split anywhere.

Checked all boost pipes doesn't seem to be any leaks quite a lot of oil in the pipe going to the intercooler am I right in thinking it could be worn turbo seals

its the start of yes, but not to worry too much as all turbo cars have a little. it could be a wastegate leak. way to do this is locate the wastegate and get a hand controlled pump to force air into wastegate and see if there is any leakage. best done by a garage to be honest as can easily be overdone and pop goes the wastegate
