I have a T reg 1.0l Saxo and a garage has diagnosed my engine problems are due to my throttle body. Can I use a newer age car or a different engine size one or do I have to stick with same age/size??
Throttle body

#2Wouldn't it just be an issue with one of the sensors?

#3The mechanic I went (first time I've been to him)to said throttle body problem was found when he hooked it up to the computer, I'm not a mechanic so I'm not sure if it is a sensor or the complete body. Any suggestions??

#4It's the single point injection if I'm right? I don't really see how the throttle body itself can go wrong, unless it's physically broken, so I'd go with my gut and say its a sensor, but I couldn't say what sensor it will be.
What sort of problems you having mate? -
#5the spi throttle bodies can play up, easy enough to find one in a breakers thats identical to yours without messing around

#6Could possibly be the idle control valve. Or 9 times out of 10 u can take them of and clean them normally fixes the issue
