#2Sounds like your clutch is dead mate or at least on its way to the graveyard. Put your handbrake on tight and put car in first gear and goto pull away with handbrake on, if u can lift the clutch all the way up and the revs go up with clutch out without car moving off the spot or stalling then your clutch slipping and needs replacing.

#3Only do this test once and don't do it for long or rev the engine to high whilst doing it as if you keep doing it you will burn out whatever clutch you have left, this is only a way to diagnose a worn clutch, hope this helps

#4Best way to check is too find a steep hill, as your going up it put it in fifth, the the revs go up and the car isnt fainting speed then it's slipping

#5thanks for the help will try tommrow its a bit late now i will let u know wat the results are

#6tryed the test handbrake on put it in gear slowly lifted the clutch the car lifted to move but bit point high
-
#7So can u let the clutch fully out with some revs on or does it stall?
-
#8no the clutch dont go up fully it will stall but bit point very high does that mean the plates are worn or on the limit
-
#9do as Blackie said, best way to test it really
-
#10ok thanks baz i might just change the clutch next week save the hassal
-
#11As long as you put your handbrake on this will be a good tester, driving up a hill won't test it as well as well as using handbrake as there will be a lot less resistance on clutch etc etc or so I thought

#12Tried adjusting the clutch.
You'll see the cable on the gearbox.
Tighten the bolt on it.
