inlet manifold

#2probably created an air leak somewhere
-
#3Probably bent and pulled the throttle cable a bit tighter ?
-
#4Not to state the obvious but you dint lean on the throttle cable did you ?
-
#5no, aint near the cable and that dont move i checked it, all i have to do is even rest my hand on the inlet where it say 16v and the car revs up to 2000rpm is very strange.

#6you have an air leak matey

#7Dear SirStewie.
Only way to check to see if your inlet manifold gasket is " leaking " or
" sucking in air " Stewie
is to run your car at idle speed on tickover, and you
need to get a tin of aerosol " Carburetter Cleaner " and spray it liberally onto
the area where the paper inlet manifold gasket sits, between the manifold and
the cylinder head. and also spray the inlet manifold bolts/studs or nuts. If
there is leaking gasket, when you spray it with Carb cleaner, you will find that
the tickover will raise itself upto approximatley 1500 rpm
The thing to check first would be the tightness and number of studs
nut/bolts, all bolts should be present ( non fallen out or snapped )
To renew the gasket you will have to drain the cooling system as there
is water/antifreeze that will come out of the engine, so you will have to renew
the antifreeze aswell
I hope this helps Stewie
