front suspension

    Has anyone any tips on renewing the front arms on a 1 litre Sax?

    MOT bloke says they are a little worn but seems to want a lot to fix.

    use a long bar an jam that between the wishbone and floor and while a mate is pushing/standing on the bad hit it with a big hammer. (after pinch bolt is removed) should make removing the ball joint easier.

    2 nuts under the carpet iirc are 16mm

    dont use a bar and bash shit if your replacing the whole arm

    rear mounts off theres 2 16mm nuts under the carpet
    then undo the arb mounts on the wishbones (its a 1.1 so has it there not on droplinks)
    whip the front bolts and pinch bolts out
    then drop the front bush out and you should be able to wriggle the ball joint out
    if not a tap at this stage is a lot easier than fucking with bars....
