stem seals

    hi all my stem seals are gone i was just making sure are these the right ones i know they say they are but just want to make sure befor i buy them also do i need any special tools to change them and would i need any thing else

    you'll need to remove the head to do them so you'll need a new headgasket kit if you get the full de-coke kit that should have the stem seals in it already.
    new cambelt and water pump while your there (might aswell)

    you'll need a decent torque wrench that goes down to 10nm
    a correct valve spring compressor- i used one designed for a CVH engine this works much better with the 8v saxo engine.

    head gasket was only done last year skimmed etc so shouldnt need one

    i will need one, as soon as you break that seal, cause it has been used and compressed and will no seal again.

    if you did it last year why didn't you change the stem seal then?
    i allways replace the seals and gaskets when i've taken the head off.

    thats the one i use (or very similar) the one you posted are for iron heads.

    one fiesta posted will be better

    the 8v head casting is a right cunt with the type one you posted..

    some of the valves are very close to the rocker tower castings
