Matt black alloys

   Probably been asked a few times but I can't seem to find any threads on it that help too much, I want my alloys Matt black as everyone seems to have gloss ones but I'm insure of whether to lacquer them I did try with lacquer and 3 layers of Matt black on a spare wheel and it came out inbetween Matt and gloss. Is there a certain Matt lacquer that should be used?

   I had gloss black alloys, i used a hard cloth on them with some water and washing up liquid, then waxed them and 2 coats of halfords laquer and they came out matt black

   So you had gloss black and they went Matt? Even more confused now
