New battery, won't go tight enough on terminal, and ideas?

Whacked my new battery in the other day, but noticed the connecter thingy is loose on the negative terminal, buts its the tightest it'll go.
Thought about wrapping some tin foil round and then putting the connecter on, but thats a bit bodge lol.
    Any ideas?

Tinfoil sounds like a plan, maybe a bit of copper wire wound round it?

People are saying thats not the best idea though, hmm..

Do you have the old style saxo battery connectors?IE 1 side is red the other is green. If so there should be a little cage that you fit over both the battery terminals.Wrapping anything around the terminals is stupid to say the least & dangerous to boot as well.

Nope, positive side is just a metal clip on one for easy on and off etc, and negative side is a clamp with screw and bolt.
People have been reccomending different clamps when the standard ones are loose, reccon these will be alright? Will only need to use the one for negative side, but they're not exactly expensive so doesn't bother me lol.
