bike carb question

    all right im starting to gather bits for a 1.6 8v i have a 1.1 s2 106, my question is instead of buying a distributor set up and faffing around with wiring could i just use the ignition system from the 1.1 on the 1.6 as the ecu wont need to control fuel? cheers

    You could get it to run though I have never seen similar such setups ever work all that well unless you have the ecu mapped for such application. Normally best option is to go for a good ignition only 3rd party ecu. This way there simple to map and will give the correct 3d map for the engine. However if your doing this you may as well just use throttle bodies with fuel injection. Better results for similar work and cost.
