Hints and tips on refurbing.

   Starting to refurb my alloys to polish them up. They are caked in some shit that even with sanding struggles to come off and looks like its eaten into the metal a bit..
   
   Any tips from anyone to help do a good job as i've never done it before?

   Is it all the black brake dusty stuff on the back? If so, I used a wire brush drill attachment to get it off then sanded with 180 then 400 to smooth it.
