Right so i got a mk1 and have a question about the gauges.
Ok so the fuel one first of all this seems to be fine when over half full but when it gets to a quarter it seem to have a mind of its own and will go up and down like a yoyo its not a major issue but im curious if this is just normal lol.
Oil gauge this is the strange one when you first start the engine it lights up showing empty then goes off after a little while however it never seems to go past the half way mark or a lot of the time decideds not do anything other then the light goes off.
Now there is plenty of oil in the car as i have checked this off course so although not essential it a bit annoying having a dial which dont seem to work or works very occasionally ?
So is this normal for these wonderfuly built French cars
