So my power steering went on my 1.1i Mk2 Saxo and red fluid was leaking out the bottom of the car and i found out it was the power steering tube rubbing against something and it had split open!
and ive been told that a Mk1 tube will be better as they are more flexible and can move them about? is this true?
Important! : Power steering gone :( Red fluid leaking!

#2If its the high pressure line that runs along the bulkhead, and the track rod has worn through it? Then the mk1's do have more clearance, but you can use a mk2 one and just bend it out of the way slightly.1 user thanked this post:

#3Yep Mk1 pipes are flexible and can be moved out the way!
Had a similar issue with my furio, so switched to mk1 pipes, problem solved!.

#4We tried bending it out the way and it just would not budgeQuote:If its the high pressure line that runs along the bulkhead, and the track rod has worn through it? Then the mk1's do have more clearance, but you can use a mk2 one and just bend it out of the way slightly.
but will the Mk1 deffo do the trick? because i need my car back lol

#6You need to use a suitable pry bar or similar between the track rod and hose, they do move with a bit of persuasion. Yes Mk1 hoses are slightly different, personally i just adjusted the one i've got but i'm sure someone will be along to verify soon.
