Cleaning bearing surfaces, what to use?

  1. #1
I'm wanting to clean out the bearing surfaces inside my trailing arms where the axle bearings sit as there is a bit of caked on stuff in there from when the old bearings went bad. I'm thinking flap wheel but what grit? or any other ideas?

    thankyou

red scotch flap wheel nothing more. If you use a grit you will change the shape and size meaning possible premature failure.

Also break cleaner on the scotch flapper helps clean out shit n gunk.

    Scotch wheel

One of these mate they sell them at b&q or at least they use to. Just be careful only clean it and don't go crazy with it as you will change the shape of the hole.
