how can i cure rust?

    im looking to sell my 1.1 desire to get a furio or a VTR. my 1.1 has a rusty chasis so thinking if i can cure it somehow i could get more money to go towards my new one. any suggestions much appreciated

    Depends on how bad the rusting it really. If its excessive then it will need welding and that can get expensive, if its just surface rust you can sand it down and treat it with a rust proofing (kurust etc) then under-seal/stone-chips

    to do a proper job I very much doubt its financially worth it when you are selling your car.

    As already said don`t bother,a car like yours would make a good car for someone who has has just past their test or for a cheap runaround mate.

    As people have said above, if its just surface rust then sand it off and whack some underseal on.

    If its bad and there are holes etc then its welding time and that could be expensive depending on the extent.

    thanks, its not too bad so il just sand it and make it look abit neater and sell it

    I wouldn't bother if your selling it. I'm planing to do my car but I'm planning to keep it for another few years.
