Chriping noise from rear (video included)?

    Hello

I have some sort of chirping noise coming from the rear of the car, which is worse when going down even a slightly bumpy road.

The axle has no play at all and I have tightened the ARB end plate bolts. I have removed the rear wheels and pushed up the rear suspension with my hand several times but can't hear the noise.

    Any ideas?

Nah it's not mate, Rear axle bushes are white which means standard iirc.

You got a spare wheel under the boot? When I got rear ended in my 306 it loosened the spare wheel cage and was making the same kind of squeak.

Damper? Trailing arms? Beam? Spare wheel cage?

    Anyone of this imo

Hmmm I have got a spare wheel and cage, didn't think of that!

Will take the wheel out and see if the noise increases decreases.

Beam seems fine, no play and the noise is not there if I push the suspension up by hand.

I think the standard bushes are black, they are on mine anyway.

niggly noises can be a right pain, i remember a few years back i had a sqeak at very low speeds only turning left and it turnt out to be one of the rear bolts on the trailing arm wasnt quite tight enough....

You can't always replicate the noises by hand though, the loads a car puts through the suspension will be far higher than what you can put through by hand.

I've got a £10'er on it being wheel cage.
