Longer Lambda sensors?

Sorta relates to engine, being in engine bay and all.

Basically my lamda sensor is tight against my 4-2-1 manifold and it seems to idle badly/misfire occasionally.

If this is due to the lambda- is it possible to actually get longer cables?

have you tried re-routing the lambda? i had the same trouble, but managed to route it over the back of the gearbox and fitted with loads of slack to spare

I haven't - there are two holes I can fit it and it's currently on the branches side. Could have a look an see if it can reach the lower one as it won't be against manifold then

You can lengthen the cables but you must use stainless steel wires and you must use the crimp on connectors and the heat shrink tubing to seal them from the elements.

If you were to solder the wires it would create a resistance in the wire making your Ecu read false and alter the fueling accordingly.

Best bet is to buy another lambda with wires (second hand) and cut and crimp the wires to the the length wanted.
