was working nights, left my side lights on all night..
had to bump start the VTR..
it was then stuck at 4,200rpm for about 5 mins..
then it started to bounce from 1,500 to 2,000+rpm.. it done this for the 30mile drive home.. i dipped the clutch alot and stop started the engine a few times.. it continued to bounce the revs about 6 times them rev its self back up to 4,000rpm..

i got home, turned the car off.. sat there for 2 mins thinking how much i hate this VTR.. started the car back up to make a video for this site.. an what do you know, it's running perfect again

any idea's? prevention is better than repair

It would of idled at 4200 to help get charge back into the battery, hence why it soon dropped down to 2000 after a while, and then went back to normal. don't know why it would if gone back up, but basically, it idled high to get the charge back in to the battery

Mine did this once about 3 months ago and hasn't done it since, so I wouldn't think it's much to worry about unless it happens a few times.
