Any way of tidying a scuffed bumper..?

   My wifes car and its virtually impossible to get a replacement front bumper in mauritius blue and I'm not forking out to get one sprayed.
   Cant get just the bumper insert as its an all in one part.
   
   Just the black middle insert of the bumper is badly scuffed-rest of the surround is perfect-is there any way to rub down and maybe spray this bit that will bring it back up like new?
   
   Just curious..

   I assume you're on about the front bump strip?
   They're not painted from the factory, you could just sand it down, and give it a good coat of back to black, but you'll need to keep ontop of it with the back to black...
   Do you have any pictures of the damage?

   Mask off the black area and sand it down with a 400 wet and dry. Fill any imperfections with a plastic filler. Rub that down also with the 400 wetand dry. Then use something like a u-pol bumper texture paint to bring back the black. You will want the fine texture peugeot black number 4.
   
   Just remember that you will also need a plastic primer.
   
   U-Pol plastic tex 4
   Plastic primer.
