Low oil pressure(need for major help)

  1. #1
    Hi everyone

My name is Marco, come form Taiwan.

I have a problem with oil pressure. The story is that my engine
has been rebuilt with new pistons, gasket, new oil pump ect
    recently.

After it's done, I ran my engine and everything just run well but oil
    pressure is too low after 4000rpm(around 3.5~3.6Bar ; It's at 2.3bar
    when idle)

I have search in forums but still can not find out what's going wrong.
Is anyone here could help me to solve this problem??

And will it damge the engine if I run at high rpm with such low oil pressure?

    Please help
    Thanks.

the thing you wanna make sure that the oil is going round the engine aslong as its lubricating the engine components it should be alright but not sure about this oil pressure buisness

Sure it's not a faulty pressure switch?
Assuming you have an aftermarket pressure gauge which is giving you the reading?
May be worth finding the standard pressure for your engine..
If you need more oil pressure for some strange reason replace/uprate the oil pump! That however shouldn't be needed if your engine is running fine.

    Hi~Daz_Kez
The Oil press gauge which I use was made by Shadow
    Here is the Link: http://www.shadowmotor.com.tw/modules/tinyd0/

I don't have any trange reason for Oil press.
Just afraid that the low oil press will lead to some engine damage.

If it will not then I have nothing to worry about.

Providing the engine is running the standard oil pressure fine.. I shouldn't think there would be a need to adjust it.

I'm unsure as to what the standard pump pressure is.. I am however sure it will be easy to find out.

Hopefully all is well and will stay well however.

I have seen the manual of SAXO and it mention that the oil press
shoul be 4 bar at 4000rpm when the oil temperature is 90 degree
    Celsius.

But mine does stand around 3.5~3.6Bar after 4000rpm.

That why I worry about and come here to ask for you guys help.
