Knocking/Tapping? Noise When Releasing The Clutch?

   Whenever i pull away from a junction in 1st or 2nd gear, from near enough standstill, there's a knocking noise, sounds like metal tapping or something like that.
   
   Anyway, the clutch bearing has been going since i bought the car last year, and wondering if the noise is getting louder because the bearing is as good as gone now?
   
   Is it time for a new clutch, or could it be something else?

   as the release bearing wears it will get louder and louder until eventually it will shatter into a million pieces, so best get it changed bud

   sounds like it would be the bearing.
   Have you ever took a gearbox off before? They're fairly straight forward, lots of work involved but nothing around that area should be ceased / rusted. Just make sure you've got the tools for the job and theres a really good guide on here for it

   incase you didnt know is well might wanna change the whole clutch system. save alot of time and money

   Yeah im gonna be getting the whole clutch changed, jut been waiting for the right time.
