New tyres

Hi I'm needing a new tyre on the back. I was goin to change the back 2 as a pair but it's very expensive that way and the other tyre is Alrite. Doses it mater if the back two tyres have different tred patterns? As long as there 195/45/15 exactly the same as my other one?

An an ideal world the same tyres all round is desirable but no its not necessity. Best to keep tyres the same per axle though imo

That's what I mean is it ok to have one rear tyre with a different tred pattern to the other rear tyre?

Its OK yes but I personally wouldnt do it for spirited driving, can give odd handling characteristics

    This.

The spoon that had my VTS before me fitted a Kumho Ecsta Sport to the front drivers wheel, and an Admiral remould or something shit to the other side.

results are basically comical passenger wheelspin whenever you try to accelerate at anything above a snails pace from any roundabout exit in anything other than dry conditions.

    Matching tyres ftw.
