central locking

Hi there guys.I have bought an aftermarket remote central locking kit for my saxo vtr.

I have central locking at the moment which works on the key but i have never had a fob although i would of thought it would have previously had one.

First of all can i plug my new kit up to the existing central locking solenoids?or do i have to fit the new ones which come with the kit.

You should be able to wire them in to the old solenoids.

Hi mate thanks for reply.Iv decided to use this kit on my other car now.

However my brother has the same sort of vtr as mine.its the phase 2.He has a fob for his fully working.so i was going to swap the receivers over and ill have his fob and receiver.This is only going to work if i have a receiver obviously.

only thing is i dont know where the receiver is,iv checked in the bit above the winder for the sunroof but nothing there.

does anybody know?

wouldn't work. You'd need to reprogram the fob.

if its a hawk kit you can get a kit for if your car has central locking but just not remote cl. Which iirc is all you need as u have solinoids already.

HI there again m8.could you explain this abit better.iv now given away my central locking kit as i couldnt be bothered with it and it wasnt the best if im honest.

Basically i have central locking with the key at the moment,how can i get this into remote central locking?.

I imagine i have a receiver somewhere for remote central locking but i have never had a fob for this car.

so basically what do i need?thanks in advance.
